I've got an old Police model (my first REAL knife) that a friend is returning to me, and it needs a good sharpening. Just curios if you offer the sharpening service to serrated blades (unlike some companies...C*ld St**l), and if so, how much does it cost? Also, I've seen some all black Police models, or what look like Police models, circulating around. Were there any all black Police models made, if so, any good sources to locate one? Or was that a custom feature? Thanks ahead for the info.

Spyderco will sharpen their knives. Just mail it in with a letter saying what you want done. I think you just have to cover the shipping back and forth. But I'm not sure. We should get a correct answer sometime soon.
There are all black Police models out there floating around. Spyderco tried a black coating on a few different models, but I guess they were not happy with the results, because they never tried again. I don't have any idea where to find one. I would email "NCBlades", he use to have one and he might know where to find one now. You can always post on the "Knives, wanted to buy" forum. Hope this helps.

The Spyderco Sharpmaker 203 will do a wonderful job restoring the EDGE to your Police. That and it will sharpen all your other edged tools as well.

As to the black Spyderco knives. I still have a few of several models available. These are refered to as Blak-Ti versions and are typically about $15 to $20 more than their stainless counterparts like the Endura II, Delica II, Police, etc.

If your interested e-mail me and I'll let you know what I have available.
