Cheers
I just got my Al Mar SERE 2000. I love it already!
Some says it's built like a tank. I would rather compare it to a Mercedes: Big, tough, shiny and with that intangible exclusive quality finish. And as everybody says it is razor sharp, and probably will stay that way for some time.
However, as someone else remarked, you only get to know your knife intimately, you only bond to it, after having sharpened it the first time.
This is my first VG10 knife. What are your experiences with VG10 regarding angle? How acute can you get VG10 before edge holding suffers?
I am thinking on putting a double bevel on it, e.g. 15 degree / 20 degree for ease of resharpening. (Yes, I am using an Edgepro
). Comments, anyone?
