When I tried to sharpen my 710 on my sharpmaker the inner curve got a bumpier, not nearly as sharp edge then the foward part of the blade. Did this happen to any of you? Is there a trick to avoid it?

When I used the SM, I always sharpened the blade in two different sections.

First, I'd get the inner curve sharp, then work on the rest of the blade.

The edge of the stones seemed to work better on the curve, and the flats on the rest.

I don't know if this is the best way to do it or not, but it worked pretty well for me. :)
