sharpening damascus

can you help a newbie? I have a brand new damascus stiletto.Blade is dull,dull,dull. What is the best method to sharpen it and are damascus blades supposed to be as sharp as say,the blade on a buck 110,which is like a razor!
 
I have a damascus neck knife thats 2.5" long and could probably outcut my PCKS buck 110 with BG-42 :) Damascus takes a wicked edge and is not any harder to sharpen than most other steels, do you have hi-carb or stainless damascus? The hi-carb on my neck knife is really easy to sharpen just like most high carb steels. I use some 6" DMT benchstones to sharpen it, usualy only takes 10 passes per side.
