My father was going through his gun cabinet and found his old skinner. He gave it to me to clean the rust off of it and to sharpen it. I saw Schrade on the handle, but I didn't know what it was. I found out the other day it's a Sharpfinger! I'm going to use my eraser to get the crud off of it, but after that should I leave it alone? He's going to hold onto it, but will sharpening decrease the value of it? He only has the sheath for it, I'm not sure it's even the factory sheath, he might've made the sheath for it. It's a neat find, he has a really old Schrade single blade slipjoint that he carries sometimes too.

There were many thousands of Sharpfingers made, wtih no changes from year to year. It's a great user knive... clean it, sharpen it, use it!
