Sharpmaker accessories???

I just received a new Sharpmaker Mod 204 and it seems like it is going to work out well. I've always been unhappy that I couldn't re-sharpen a Spyderco as sharp as the factory new edge. Perhaps this will help.

At any rate, I notice in the instruction manual Spyderco lists 204UF triangular stones as accessories, sold individually. I went to Spyderco's site and can't find them listed. Are they available?

As an aside, anyone have any experience with Spyderco's bench stones?

I tried looking for the UF rods on the Spyderco site and did not see them (I know I've een them there before). I hope they are not disco'd.

New Graham has them

scroll to the middle of the page for 'Ultra Fine Rods (white)'

I've never used the bench stones....yet. From what is repeated on the forums and elsewhere, they are great for the freehand sharpener.

Hope this helps.

I purchased mine from New Graham, BUT as I recall, they are sold individually, so make sure that you order a pair.

Muchas gracias. It certainly did help. His prices seemed fair, so I bought a pair of the ultra fine stones and some of the bench stones as well. If the UFs are discontinued, I may buy some more for sharpmakers to be used as gifts.
