Im looking for a 3 1/2" - 4" recurve folder with a wide blade for under/around $200. I have a Kershaw Bump and a ZT 350 and I LOVE them... but I want something with a bit more curve than the ZT 350 and a wider blade than the Bump. Any suggestions??

The 0300 is a great knife also. It can be found under $200 if you look. MAAP has been raised for 2012 to $272, but they often sell on ebay for under $200 NIB. One sold this last week for $182.50 from a great seller.

I second both the 0200 and the 0300. I don't know if you could find one but you might like a discontinued offset!

Wow guys.. you all nailed my dream knives. Ive been researching and watching those exact 3 knives for about 3 weeks now. I just wanted to know everbodys opinion. Thanks alot guys. I love all of those blades. I just cant decide which to get.. first. :D I dont have endless funds and I have a young family so I have to plan my spending... and butter my wife up. lmao :p

money aside i like my 0200 better than my 0300, just the balance and ergos feel better to me and its half the price. Speedsafe on 0300 is nice but the 0200 flips so well its not a deal breaker. Just my 2 cents

I love the 0301, been carrying mine since December and it is a great knife. Its been used pretty hard and besides small niches in the blade from unseen metal objects, not a single issue. Id look around and wait till a good deal comes along for a 0300 series. They come up on here every now and then too.

I'll echo the ZT200 it's a fine knife that's right up your alley. The G-10 is pretty aggressive however and can be a bit hard on pants pockets.

there is an NIB offset on "that auction site" in your price range right now. just a heads up.

*i still do not know what, exactly, constitutes "deal spotting" around here. if i have broken any rules, please delete this post.

I couldn't Imagine someone actually using/carrying an Offset.. This thing is just a beast..but it is nice to look at, and mine opens with authority, the torsion bar on this thing must be insane

Pretty sure it has dual torsion bars. ;)

I didn't realize how big it actually was until i saw a picture of one next to a tyrade.

Here it is next to a 0350

be honest, you just wanted to show off that 0350! i'll have my customized one back tomorrow, so i will probably be posting gratuitous pictures as well, although i bet you can already guess what color it is. :p

seriously though, i will get my hands on an offset one of these days. the problem is that every day i wait they get harder to find and more expensive. i really dig that splatter paint job for some reason, but i like the g10 pattern on the all black one better. this damascus one takes the cake though.

Yeah I'd buy that Damascus one in a heartbeat.. along with the Damascus 0350 prototype ..but I don't have like $10,000 to throw around haha

The knives in the pictures (except the black/tan camo one) are Kershaw Offsets (make/model). Its their model name.

I used to EDC my Offsets. they weren't really any worse than carrying an 0301.
As crazy as the blade looks, the shape was very useful.

Solidorange is correct, dual torsion bars.

The Offset's model number was 1597 for the original paint splatter version. This was followed by the 1597GRY (still paint splatter AL handles).
Then 1597G10 and the 1597G10SW (the last version). I feel like there was one more version though.

Is the Offset handle thicker or slimmer than the ZT0300 handle?? Anyone have specs on either... or both?? I dont mind big blades, I just like them kind of thin. I love my ZT0350. Wide, Flat, and very sexy... I do wish it was a bit bigger though. Id love to see a ZT0300 with a ZT0350 type handle. Anyone have any feedback on the Spyderco Captain??

If money is a little tight, go for the 0200. As a bonus, the front edge of the thumb ramp can be snagged (if carried tip-down) on the edge of your pocket if you draw right, so it is effectively a waved blade. It works very well for me and it's very convenient if you have ample space to whip it out.
