Here's mine...

BTW--Today, I took a break from mowing the grass and caught Martha Stewart 'Living' from the NY Natural History museum.
I tuned in just as Martha interviewed the guy who is in charge of cataloging/preservation of the museum's vast collections. Anyhow, he said that the greatest threat to preserving their collections are the various insects which hitch hike into the museum's vaults with new aquisitions.
To solve the problem he said they freeze everything at -40F for two days before exposing it to the rest of the museum's goods. He also emphasized that it's important to freeze an item as quickly as possible so that the insect cannot develop its own immunity to the freeze. He called their process "flash freezing."
So what are they doing, putting everything in a super-insulated cooler and opening up the liquid nitrogen?
If anyone knows, I'd like to know exactly what the process is.

I hope this helps.
