I went to First Sat.(Big monthly flea market) this morning and picked up my two new Jags (Black w/inserts, plain edge). I asked about the little camo cacoon style sheaths that I own two of now. They were three dollars each, but sold out. Well, they had some made by Buck Knives. Vertical carry only but very heavy duty compaired to the others. The tag on the back says Buck (over) 426. Model number maybe?

Anyway, they fit the jags like a glove. Firm, but not too tight. The price was, get this, three dollars! Is that as good a deal as I think? I bought the guy out of them!

big surprise, he only had four left.

Also, the idea of makeing the "key" Bali, did not pan out. The tiny Bali I was going to buy was too small for the thick key. The search is on for the right size, or a peace of metal I could use to make the handles. Wish me luck.

If you are searching for a piece of metal, you might want to look for a small metal shop in the area and give them a phone call. If they are like the one I used to work at, they probably have a ton of scrap steel, aluminum, brass, and other materials just sitting around in their scrap pile waiting for some use to come along. They might be willing to sell you a piece or to just give you some depending on how nice they are and what all you want.

A machine shop around here, yea right! Its a good idea though, maybe one of my friends in Richmond VA can get some. He used to work in a machine shop as well, and we are talking about a peice of metal so small it would be considered scrap.

Darth, a Mag-Light sheath by Buck Knives? Could be, I dont know. This model has a flap with a snap button on it. An AA Mag will not fit, but an AAA prabably would, but I don't have one.

As for the Key Bali, I held up a copy of my old key. The old key is thiner! Wich means if I go to a differant place to get a key made, like the dealership, they might have a thiner key. I could kick myself!

Jags: I bought two new jags, and there are some differences between the old and new, besides the color, which is all that should be. I post a new topic when time permits.

Thanks for the input.

In short, worse. But not by much, your average "guy off the street" would never notice. I did at first glance, but I had one from years ago, and carried it on me for 4 1/2 years. Read my short essay I am getting ready to post.
