I was admiring Pat Crawfords Frame-lock Folders the other night and got to wondering...could you take that same basic concept and turn it around. Make the cutout in the blade and notch the handle and use that for a lock mechanism? So tell me,...why wouldn't that work? Would the spine of the blade not be springy enough? Too stiff? Or too loose? If done right the cutout could also double as the opening slot/hole. And remember...if this becomes the next "New! Great! Innovative! Extra-cleaning power added, Lock Mechanism" that everyone is now using, you saw it here first!
(Just send me my royalties).
