Smallish sheaths, but they are needed and are kinda cute, here are a couple
that I've made, the first one I just finished up this weekend for a guy way
out west, heading home tomorrow
Blade is 1 1/2" long
handle is 2 1/2" long
Vertical sheath, will just, just, fit onto a 1 1/2" wide belt;
amazing fit and finish on this knife;
stubby blade but very sharp!
And this other one, about the same size knife almost, and as cute but not
an auto is a knife made by Jim Serven, resting now in the hands of a friend
a very lovely Jim Serven folder, has a back spring AND a liner lock,
very cool knife, blade is only 1 7/8" long so it's not a big knife at all, but I hated digging through
my pockets and then taking it out of the slip sheath to use it so I took a little time
out for ole G2 and made a sheath for it
I was a bit worried as you can see there isn't a lot of contour
on the knife to aid in retention, but as it turned out, the end
of the knife is thicker than the bolster area, which made it
snap into place with a beautiful 'snap' sound as she seated home
colour me very happy
they need to be tightly made in order to keep their shape and to retain the
knife well, while there isn't a lot of leather there, you still have to take the
time of course to form, form, form until it's done!
