The 110 with no inlay pins is a 3rd Version Variation 4 produced 1968-1969.

Wow! Nice bunch of knives! You may already know this but its a good idea to make sure that you dont mix up any of the knives/sheaths/boxes/paperwork.
The 110 with 110 stamped on the belt loop...that sheath was only used from late 67 to 69...nice find! Also, on the knife that goes with the sheath, the shop was constantly looking for better ways to make the 110 and the no inlay pin version was just something they tried for a short while.
The Use and Care leaflet on your 317 is dated 1/73 and that leaflet was used from 1973 into 1976. They printed them in batches and must have done a big batch that year because they lasted a few years.

For some reason the engineers decided to put the date code mark on the liner lock when the Cross locks came out. The only problem was, that stamp was never changed so every closslock that has a date code, has that date code.

Off the top of my head I would say that the diference in size on the 112's has to do with changes in the way the brass sides were made. Forged vs cintered may be the answer.

Thanks Joe
All info is greatly appreciated as I am new to knives, I guess you will get to hold some of these as I will be sending in for spa treatment as I want to keep as many as I can but have way to many, short history my cousin gave me my first buck at age 7 yes I lost it. He was the collector who has just passed and his collection became mine that is why I am just starting to learn and go through the many knives he left behind.
I will address the knives to you when I send them in and Thanks Again for all the help

Very sad about your cousin, but it sounds like his collection found it's way to the right person.
I can tell you will cherish these knives in his honor....
He had great taste in his collection.....

Thanks sitflyer,
Yes he had great taste in knives, and yes I plan on passing down to my kids but I have to let go of some as 300+ knives is to many for anyone, well maybe not everyone but to many for me, Thanks for starting your post as that got me going with the bucks and I will post and share pics after they get there spa treatment, Hey anything 30+ years I guess deserves some time in the spa tahts what my wife keeps telling me well Thanks again and see you around the forum

Is it ok to drool in public forums ?? Great knives John. Sorry to hear about your cousin but as others have said - They are in the right hands as we all can recognize your joy of a Buck(s). WOW!

Nuto, thats a sad way to accumulate knives and I'm sorry about your loss. He left you a very nice collection indeed. I am envious of them all. Drooling indeed warranted.

Thank You One and All,
He enjoyed knives and passed that enjoyment to me at an early age, he was sick for a long time and in a better place. He knew that his collection's would be in good hands and I plan on passing down to my son. Thanks for all the comments and will share the bucks and others as he collected alot of different kinds. The kabar yearly CK knives on bladeforum are his also except for the last 30 year anniversary knife which I aquired to complete his collection take a look not bucks but some really nice knives. When I get the bucks back from there spa treatment I will post some more as I was hesitant to post as these were in storage for a long time and need to get cleaned to show their true beauty. Again Thank You All See You On The Forums
