Should I be afraid?

I have a slightly used Stomper EWOK on the way(you may recognize it:D). I have been admiring Stompers work for long while, and I am glad I can finally try one out...But my main concern, when I fall in love with a maker, I fall hard. Should I be scared, better yet should my wallet? I have a felling it should! Can't wait to post pics! From what I can tell the EWOK is the perfect EDC fixed blade.

Your wallet should be afraid. You can just be happy, unless your significant other finds out how much you've paid for all these knives with the letter K stamped on them :P

I can sneak a certain number of knives under her nose, but she kind of pays attention. If I start pulling knives out every few months and tell her "ive had these forever" she will start getting suspicious. Luckily knives are less conspicuous than guns.

There is a secret that as an old married man I will share with you. Order every knife with the same handle material! Then, to most women, they all look the same!

John, aren't you breaking some kind of code by putting this sacred knowledge in print? This is something that should only be whispered from knife guy to knife guy. If our wives ever discovered this secret....

Your wallet should be afraid, but you should enjoy the experience! Seven months ago I started out just like you with a used EWOK. I can only speak for myself, but that was MANY MANY JK Knives ago.

Along with John's advice I would add that unless you have a "private" checking account, look into money orders for payment. My wife was looking at our finance software and commented that I sent more money to John last month than I did to Harley Davidson or Toyota.

My wife has endured my habits for 42 years now, she pays no attention to my hobbies.

Hi folks

My secret? Throw a ten spot in a can every once in a while, then I spend that on my blades.

Best regards

If they are on this forum they are not a threat!

I must be one of the lucky ones. My wife just admires the knives I buy. In fact, she has bought me almost half of the knives I have!

Brilliant!

Every once in awhile I get a gun or knife I know she will like and I proudly show it off. The other ones I sneak, and hope shes at work or school when the postman comes.

My fiancee just saw two of my knives and went "are those yours?"

Apparently making sheaths has an added benefit ;)
