I'll start with a pic of my ole Pipe Razor.
I'm sure some of you have better razors and better pics.

Nothin' wrong with a good DE razor. Nice macro shots, too.

In the foreground there's a 1959 Gillette ball-end tech. Nice razor but a little bit mild for my tastes.

And here's a Mühle R89. I love the art-deco stripes on the handle. The open-comb head really takes care of business!

I also have a Merkur 38C "Barber Pole", a Merkur HD and a Weishi adjustable... just don't have pics of them. :(

I've got a Merkur, but no pics yet. Also my dad's old Gillette.
Both are decent shavers, with the edge (no pun intended) going to the Merkur.

I'm hopefully going to take some more pics of some of my straights and get them up soon.

Thanks for the pics, Torz!

My every (other) day shaver.

Whoops, sorry about that. Seems like I'm having trouble uploading pics.

Hey all. My first straight razor was an old Amboss Mann with celluloid handles that my girlfriend gave my for my birthday a while back. Thanks to the extreme generosity of fellow forumite gkruty I now have a new addition...
Razor001.jpg

It's made by Case in Solingen German and came shaving sharp right out of the box. I know he doesn't want props for it, but I think they are due while I'm posting here. I merely sent Greg an email inquiring about what he was looking for in trade since I did not know the value. Since I said I would use it all he asked in return for the razor was my mailing address. What a guy. the pictures don't do it any justice especially since it's been through 3 shaves so far. I meant to take a pic sooner but I temprarily misplaced my camera. Take care all.

i bought a new one today!
DSCN3544.jpg

a real antique le Coq from the 1950s with original blades

first impressions:
it is alot lighter than my previous one (Mühle R41),
the blades are blunt :p,
the special rolling stuff on top is very confusing especially with shaving the head where you cant see what yer doin but might help in finding a somewhat correct angle fast,
its pieces are interchangeable with my mühle so i can experiment :)

I have never seen one of those before. Does it use a special type of blade? It might be possible to strop the old one back to life.
