I was messing around taking some photos of my knives today and I thought y'all might want to see my Bucks. So far I only have three pictures to show. Here is the first one.

My Buck 119 (2004) I bought last year at Wal-Mart. I haven't used it yet.

My Nighthawk (1995) I bought ten years ago. I really like this knife but I haven't really used it or even carried it.

My Vanguard (1995). I also bought this ten years ago and I have found it to be too beautiful to use.

I'll post more pictures soon.

I have a 119 and NightHawk also. Great-feeling knives, but like you, I've never used them. In fact both of my Nighthawks are First Production models with display stands.

The Vanguard is on my shopping list. Great looking knife!

I like your choice of background. A pickup tailgate, correct?

I have always liked the Buck 119. If I am not mistaken, it is the model that is quite the moviestart, isn't that correct?

Very nice collection.

Thank you. I don't know how many movies the 119 has appeared in but I do know that it is "special". :D

Nice photos, that tailgate takes me back, my first truck in high school was a beat up old 73 GMC red with the bed as scratched up, your pictures make me want to add a Vanguard to my Buck collection also.

ps, the 119 special in Cocobolo appears almost weekly on the TV series LOST.

What,no 110's :eek:nice knives,those Nighthawk's sure feel good in hand,don't they? :)

Okay, I took some more pictures today. I even photographed a couple of my 110s...

This is a very special Buck 110. It is my first Buck. It is also the knife that made me a Buck fanatic. I bought this knife, new, in 1980 at the PX when I was a new Marine. Several Marines had told me I needed one. It is, of course, a two dot. I carried, used and abused this knife everyday while I was a Marine. I cut all sorts of things, including things that shouldn't be cut with a knife. I hammered things with it and pried open many containers. And it did it all. Without breaking. It was the knife that was most useful to me as a Marine artilleryman. I also carried this Buck in Beirut in 1982. My KaBar was stolen by another Marine, but thank God he missed my Buck 110. This is still my favorite knife and, until recently, this knife has always went with me when I go into the woods. I love this knife. :)

I am so fond of my old two dot 110 that, earlier this year, I got to thinking about how upset I would be if something happened to it. So I went to Wal-Mart and bought this one to carry when I go into the woods...

It is prettier than my old 110 but seems to be a tough knife. I doubt it is as tough as my old Buck but, if I do break it, it won't upset me as much. I bought this strictly as a user. This is the knife I take in the woods now.

I also buy one, each year, to donate as a door prize at our local Emergency Services Banquet. Last year, a female dispatcher won it. She was obviously not a knife person. But maybe she has come around. :D

And now for something with titanium...

My Buck 560 (1995). I bought this one, new, ten years ago. When I handle it I am always amazed at how strong, yet light, it is.

Yup, either the 119 or I think sometimes a smaller model in that series is used. That's one of the main reasons I bought one. How could I NOT have one in my collection?

I am not familiar with the older ones enough to know if it lacks anything. I think someone took an old one apart and found it had a pivot bushing. Not sure if it did and, if so, whether they still do.

But regardless, it seems like one heck of a nice knife for $30.

I love the Buck 110's, 112's, 560's, 119's, .............! Nice pixs of some great knives, CapCase! :)

Thanks. I like them. :D

which do you prefer as an EDC, the 110 or the 560?

I don't actually EDC either one. I carried my old 110 everyday when I was a Marine when I was wearing cammies. The weight didn't bother me at all but I imagine the 560 would be more comfortable. When I am at work at the firehouse I carry a Western Folding Hunter on my belt. The reason I don't carry a Buck is because it is very easy to lose a knife at a fire or extrication. I have lost several so I carry inexpensive knives at work. Doesn't matter if I lose them. Most firemen don't carry good knives at work for that reason. Which is why, I guess, you don't see too many knives marketed to firefighters. :D I do carry an A.G. Russell featherlight in my uniform pocket, when I am at work, but I am less likely to pull it out at a fire or extrication.
