I think for the average knife carrier the Sifu is to Big. REKAT should make a smaller size Sifu that is the size of the carnivor.
Anyone else feel this way?

I'd love to have a lightweight model if it would be available, but once I got used to larger blade, it's hard to get back to smaller blade.

I carry my Sifu every day, and it is dragging my right pants pocket downward. But it's so good, convenient in my hand I can't get rid of it.

Guys, that's an oxymoron, like "jumbo shrimp". If anything the Sifu should be larger.

I really don't think there is a need for a Sifu Cub. If you want something smaller the take a look at the Carnivore,Pioneer or maybe the Carnivore Cub. These three knives from REKAT seem to satisfy the role for a smaller knife. The Sifu should get a larger brother.

Maybe even a folding sword.

Oh, I thought that said "Sifu Club". Whoops.

I do think the Sifu's blade profile is too good to have on just one knife, but the whole thing about a Sifu is that it's monstrous.

OoOo, soon I will have one...

I would like to have one with a 4" blade. i love the design, but anything over 4" is illegal in TN.

Naaa. See, on the current Sifu they had to run a big grip on a big folder. That meant maximizing what you could do with that big grip, so they did those cutouts, including "one too many".

Shrink the grip, and the ergonomic decision forces are all different. Short grips allow quick "transitions" if you want, forward to reverse...that's one thing the Sifus can't do as well, especially if you do the "pinch roll" versus the "drumstick flip". The Carny is perfect as is. 3.75" versus 4" was a worthwhile trade because it allowed a "just right" grip, and 1/4" ain't much of a loss.

The Sifu was designed to be just what it is a large Mega Folder making a smaller Sifu would be like making a Rolls Royce the size of a V.W. Bug. Along with a big blade comes a big handle. The reason for the extra finger groove was to give the user the option to choke up or down on the blade in saber or reverse grip. The latest coming in the line up is the Carnivore Cub and the Ontos then the Savant.
