Can the handles on the charge be polished to look like stainless steel. I love the charge besides the color lol.

I might be wrong about this but I would think that it couldn't because titanium is naturally a dull color. I'm with you though I like SS and wish they would have put the 154CM blade on the Wave and still made a model without it for the people who didn't want to pay the extra money.

i think you could get them to look like benchmade's balisongs knives, as they are Ti and look like SS. but I don't know how hard it could be to polish Ti, as it's harder than SS.

ALL i know is i dislike the charge so much because of the dull color. I guess its change to me though. If i could find a used xti i'd buy it in a heartbeat and swap out the blades and the extra bit driver. Oh by the way, as for the t10 security bits...........$19 a piece, yicks, but i think im gonna try just one for the time being.

Ti is more wear resistant than SS, but it definately isn't harder than SS. At least not that I've ever heard.

Ti is STRONGER than steel per weight, but not HARDER. Knife blades from Ti are just barely hard enough to call knives.

Guys,
I do not yet own a Charge, so I'm not familiar with it's handles. However, we work with titanium every day at my shop. It polishes up quite easily to a bright, silver luster.

From the photographs I've seen, it appears that the Charge handles have been die cast in a mold, which leaves the titanium with a dull surface as it cools.

I hate to say "yes" with certainty because I've not actually held a Charge yet. However, the cast titanium that I've worked with always polishes to a shiny finish rather easily. A lot depends on how "rough" the cast surface is to begin with. The rougher it is, obviously, the more material will have to be removed in order to make it smooth and shiny.
