Skyline Question

I thought I read somewhere that the brown handled with the black blade was a special or limited run?? Just trying to get educated on the skyline model. Side note- it seems that the orange handled one is a popular one, it's good to see the Kershawguy offering it at a normal/reasonable price.:thumbup:
 
The brown skyline was a limited run, but I'm not sure how many Kershaw made. They usually go for a small premium in the secondary market.
The orange skyline was a Cabela's exclusive, and being Cabela's they charged a little too much money...
 
There was a brown with black flavor once upon a time, which is no longer offered. Its fun to track these things down, though, if you are into that. You can also mix and match. I'm currently carrying brown with satin, and plan to bling it up by polishing the blade.

Thanks for the help, the reason I was asking was, on Sunday the wife and I were in our local sports store and in the counter top display case was a brown/black skyline. It was the first time I'd had seen one in person. I put it on my want list (first skyline),....well I just got home from the store and bought one, they had them in the back in boxes, as there wasn't one on the wall in the clear plastic things, I assume that is what everyone calls clam shells? Anyway it's a nice little knife, thanks again for the help.

i wonder where you got that brown with satin? :cool:
 
Amazon had 4 or 5 of these brown and black skylines yesterday...after reading this i went and bought one..today they are all gone good job selling them lol

I thought that I had missed out on these.

I was looking around and came across it and bought one.
