Sleeping With a Naked Bowie

O.K., I admit it ain't smart but I managed to add one more scar to my collection of having one of my blades taste my blood. I fell asleep on the couch and somehow managed to stick my lower leg with a 10 in. bowie that somehow found its way to the couch's end with me. Luckily no major artery got hit but I awoke with a sharp pain and a semi-messy sofa cover. Makes me think of an old Chinese proverb potential like : "Man who sleeps with knife will awake with wise lesson. " :eek:
 
I was laying in bed one night playing with my knife and I thought, what would happen of I fell asleep with my knife open and I got and itch in my eye! The thought of waking up with and eye poking out sobered me up. No playing with knife if I am tired and no bed play at all.
 
I've slept with a naked Linda Bowie. No sharp edges and warm too!

Oh! You guys meant Bowie KNIVES. Nevermind.

yeah I am one of those guys that sleeps with a knife under the pillow. But in my defence so far the only person to hurt themselves has been my wife when she is on top and I forget to move it!! ;) OPPS...wrong forum...damn!!
 
I wear a pendant around my neck on a bead chain. 24-7, I never take it off. It will fit over my head but it is a tight fit. I have to work at it to get it off that way. So I wake up one morning I feel it in the bed. I assumed it had come unfastened. It wasn't. I must have removed it during the night but I had no memory of doing so. Like I said it is a tight fit so I had to work at taking it off but never awoke. Nothing like that has ever happend to me before. Maybe a nightmare or spicy food for supper, who knows? Something to think about for all you guys who sleep with knives and guns.
 
it's odd. can't sleep with anything wrapped around my wrist or elbow, or with a ring on.... but I've had a neck knife on for the last 2yrs 24/7.

many a night that I'd go to sleep with my wrist wrapped up and wake up at 4am with it on the floor with the pins on my pillow(and in a waterbed :eek: ).

When you say 24/7 for two yrs. are you saying not only sleep time but shower time, etc. too? :D
