Slightly rounded tip

Yesterday I bought a new Case Pocketworn stockman #6318 (my second pocketworn stockman, and 3rd Case stockman overall).

This new knife is mostly perfect, except for one noticeable "problem". I know it's probably very fixable, but the tip on the main clip point blade is rounded and thicker at the tip, so that I have trouble piercing with the tip. While testing it out, I found I had to use the tip of the edge on the sheepsfoot blade to do piercing cuts instead.

One other minor thing is that the kick on the sheepsfoot blade is a little more pronounded, so that when in closed position, the back of the blade sticks up more than my other stockmans. I'm not sure if that's an individual thing for this particular knife to lessen rubbing when opening the spey blade(?).

I have no problem sharpening, other than it seems I have never been able to successfully put a tip on a new out-of-box knife on which the tip which should be acute or at least sharp is already rounded/blunted. And I'm not sure if Case has email, as my old computer can't seem to fully access the site.

Any suggestions much appreciated!

You can reshape the tip on a coarse stone from the edge side, or from the top.
Kicks are designed to be filed down, so that protruding tips (raised from sharpening) can be lowered into the liners.
