SmartPro Multi Tool with Hammer

Has anyone had any experience with this: http://www.smartprotools.com/multi-function.htm
The hammer is what has got me interested. It looks like you could probably swap out the POS multi that's included with a LM PST or Pulse or something. Not a bad price, but I wonder how durable the hammer would be...

I own one of these as well as several versions/variations of it . There is another just like the one that you spotted that can be had for $13.99 at -

I think that I have also seen it in the $10.00 to $12.00 price range . The hammer head which doubles as an adjustable wrench , the face of the hammer which is at the same time the handle for the adjustment for the wrench has to be threaded all the way down . To not do so will result in bending the shaft of the adjustment or jamming/damaging the threads of the screw adjustment .

With minor modifacation sanding/grinding it should be possible to retrofit a Leatherman PST to inside this tool . I put my PST next to the tools handle and it is just a smidgen longer than the pliers provided and the ends are shaped a little differently in the folded position . Most would/will find this tool to be heavy and or bulky . I think that it is interesting in that it does provide a hammer that is of some use . ( I would not want to build a house with it )
But it does seperate the wrench from the pliers and screwdrivers so that these tools could/can be used simontaneously in conjunction with one another . If you plug the words " multi tool hammer " into a general web search and sort through 300 - 400 listings you will find many examples of multi tool hammers . A lot will be duplication , the same thing at different sites but you will find different ones
I like google and alta vista . Alta vista provides a translation service for looking at foriegn language sites .

I have one like this, but with a bit set in the handle, which I deliberately chose as I already carry a SwissTool and wanted to augment it with this tool rather than replace it.

I got it here: http://www.collectionsetc.com/Item14073.aspx
(It's only $8.97 at present, was $14.99 when I got it before Xmas)

I quite like it, build quality is adequate for something you are going to use in heavier circumstances than a regular multi-tool. However watch out, this one comes without a carry case and so far I have been unable to find one just the right size, especially if I want to accomodate the socket set too.

For those of you who have these, do you keep them in a tool box, gear bag, carry them, or just have them laying in a drawer somewhere?
