A few weekends ago I found myself with no roughing belts and quite a few blade blanks to grind. Aggravated as HE11 with my abrasives supplier, I worked off some stress playing around with this!

I showed it to the Strider guys at the Blade Show and they thought it was wild! They even shot some pictures of it next to a stock model!!
Modifications include jeweled and polished liners, hand cut grip serrations, dovetailed Ti. bolsters, Ti pocket clip AND Koa wood from Tom Mayo that I had stabilized. All the Ti. is anodized a purple/blue color. This project took longer to do than making an entire fixed blade from start to finish so I realy dont' want to do another one!
Just thought I would share this with everyone

Appreciate you sharing that with us. So much prettier than black! I'm wondering if you've used yours much and what you think of it.

That is fantastic work. Man you'll do anything to avoid working on your Chute project

Seriously the folder really looks great and hope you haven't given up on the chute.

Neil,
Nice job! That is sweet.
But you better be careful posting a picture like that and then saying that you don't really want to do this anymore. You're liable to end up with an angry mob of forumites marching to Florida.

Thanks guys!
I never realy used the knife for anything other than flicking in front of the TV. I bought it due to the .100 thick liners and the 3/16" blade. I'm in the process of developing a folder slightly heavier duty than, say, a Commander but not quite as heavy as the Buck/Strider. I just wanted to see how the .100 thick Ti. worked for liner material and get an idea of what a 3/16" thick blade was like in a folder. Just a little R&D

If a hord of angry forumites storms my shop, they are welcome to use the tools, Ti. and wood to do their own modifications! Beer is in the fridge!!!

I also got to handle that knife, at about 2 am Friday morning when i woke Neil up banging on his door.

He did a great job, fit and finish are excellent. I think the real reason he wanted to do this project is the fact that most of it could be done while sitting in his favorite lounge chair

Nice Job Neil, keep up the excellent work.
(i was able to check out 4 or 5 of Neils fixed blades, very good work, and very good kydex work to match).

Later, Matt.

Yeah,

That knife is awesome. You guys should have seen Duane and Mick Strider's face when we beckoned them over to our table at the Tactical Knives cocktail party and Neil whipped out that knife. Kinda went from uncertain to disbelief to big smiles...

Neil brought along some other great knives as did Matt.

Matt coming banging on the door at 2AM with a bag load of knives was quite a treat - especially when he told us the story of dropping a certain "cocked and locked" item onto the parking lot in front of some local talent

I am working away at putting up some Blade Show pics on the site and will let you guys know when I get it done. The post office is causing me some serious stress right now and that is the main hold up on this project. Hopefully good news in the morning.
