I'm generally familiar with using leather to make sheaths for knives and bayonets. I'm about to go on a snakehunt and expect to come back with some large (ish) snakeskins and would like some information about using snakeskins in particular (Python, Rattlesnake, Anaconda) for making sheaths for knives. I'm thinking Buck 110 and 119 sheaths for sure and maybe some others.
I'd really appreciate any direction you can give and especially from personal experience. Thanks so much.

Keep in mind that sheaths are not made from snake skins alone. You have to make them out of cow hide first off, them glue/stitch the snake skin in place.
That's why you usually see them as inlays and such.

I'll buy a rattler's skin off ya if you have an extra one (?):D:thumbup:
