Here I go again...thought I'd made my mind up, but no. I've become interested in the whole Stider thing, especially the SnG. What are the chances anyone that owns one lives in the Richmond, VA area, or even better, knows of a dealer near Richmond, VA. that might carry an example? As always, I sincerely appreciate everyone's time.

Get a hold of the Buck/Strider Tarani. That will give you a good idea of the size and feel of the SnG. But the SnG is lighter.

It's always tought to decide on knives that people love, but don't have access to many at once (of even one at a time) in order to try them on for size. I have faced this with Striders and Mad Dog purchases. It's good to know that whatever Strider you get - you can sell it down the line no problem if you decide to get something else.

I work in Washington DC (although I live in West Virginia) as a fireman. I have a Gen 1 SnG tanto. If you want to make the drive or ever get up to the area, you are welcome to look at it. I am even considering selling it. It was my user for a while, it just isn't my thing.

thanks for the offer. Any chance you could give me your thoughts on this knife, and what about it you don't like?

It just does't feel quite right in my hand. There is no doubt it is a tough knife, but I've got a Busse Active Duty for a heavy duty knife with a smallish blade. The frame of the SnG doesn't fill up my palm like my Al Mar SERE folder does.
