so whats your excuse for not being outdoors this weekend?

i'll get the ball rolling.. called my gf who is currently in norway, she gave me some good natured teasing about being home today, apparently, even though we have had probably an inch of rainfall for the morning, i should be out hiking..


so my excuse is - its too rainy and i dont feel like cleaning mud off of everything later on tonight :D
 
My Brother, camping partner, is working this weekend. We are expecting rain storms Sat and Sunday. My dog would make a mess of everything in my tent if I went during much rain, I know excuses excuses.
 
I had a great canoe camping weekend last weekend. This weekend, is being spent cleaning the house and doing yard work. Spent two hours this morning. Now, off to try and organize the garage.
 
Watching a little 2 year old. I would take him out for some "adventuring," but it's raining like Noah's flood out there.
 
Been too buggy and too warm to go to bush camp. We need a couple of cool days just to clear the trail for the ATV. After that I will go to the cabin regularly with cooler longer evenings coming with late summer and soon fall.
 
This is the first decent weekend weather-wise in at least 3 weeks and I'm at work sunup to sundown everyday until Friday :(
 
I need new boot! Plus, today there's a bbq competition in walking distance from my house. I plan on getting destroyed on ribs and needing a few days to recover.
 
I work weekends and get out during the week. Which I prefer due to less people around...
 
Ehh, I worked this morning, and I have a nephew and a niece over at the moment. It is going to rain, which I don't mind, but my nephew would. Otherwise, I'd take him out for a couple hours.

+1 and I'm stuck at work right now. At least I can get on the internet.
 
High Heat Index here in southwest Louisiana - was 108 ℉ yesterday and who knows how high today. Love the outdoors but with the weather heat advisory in
effect will stay in the A/C.
 
Ran a bunch of errands with the five year old. I may be able to slip into the woods behind the house or fire pit to screw around a bit. Not the same, but better than nothing.
 
I have an incredible weather down here, cluody but not too cold, great to hit the trail...

But last night my friends took me out for a Mexican dinner and I got Moctezuma's revenge :D
 
well, i guess i kinda am outdoors since i live in the woods, but i'm not really doing anything 'outdoorsy'. my excuse is a good one though; i'm smoking my 40# hams from our porky we raised... i plan on practicing this afternoon with my longbow that i made (got to get ready for elk season...).
 
I'm sitting in a fortified base in Kirkuk, Iraq...not much fun being outdoors here! LOL!
