How is the Soccom Elite as a user, does anyone have one and actually use it for outdoor tasks? How does it hold up? Any info appreciated. FF

I have had my Socom Elite-A for about 3 months and have used it for everything from opening letters to field dressing deer. It is one well designed and tough knife. The quality and lockup is top notch. It came shaving sharp and it will hold that edge for a while. It only takes a few passes on a 204 to bring it right back. I wouldn't give it up for anything. Buy one, you won't regret it.

I've had a SOCOM Elite M/A for several months. It is my daily carry, and I use it for everything, from slicing bread, cutting up meat and vegatables for meals, cutting heavy cardboard boxes into small strips, and I even attacked some small brush which had overgrown and I didn't have time to go get something perhaps more appropriate for the job. It cuts like crazy, better than any other knife I own, and it holds and edge really well.

It is light weight, very strong, and locks up like a vault. Go ahead and get one. You won't regret it. Jack

I have had my SOCOM Elite (auto) for about 6 months now. I carry it to work everyday and use it heavily. I've cut everything from rope, to cardboard and everything in between. The lock up is as solid as the day I got it. After every serious cutting chore I touch up the edge on my spyderco sharpmaker and the knife is still razor sharp. I highly recommend this knife it's a great user!
