After playing w/ this knife for several days now, the following are my observations.
Great Ergonomics. SpecWar handle is very comfortable and handles weapon impact and weapon shock w/ great ease. Transitions are easily affected and indexing and purchase are better & more solid than previous SpecWars. There are "Traction Nubbs" on the top Front ramp of handle that afford excellent positive purchase. These Traction Nubbs are in the liners and G-10 material as well, Additional Traction Nubbs are located towards rear on bottom side of Knife, Which offer excellent indexing in Sabre, Hammer or Reverse (Bacal) grips. These Nubbs offer a good source of traction for the "Pinky" in sabre and Hammer and Index finger in Reverse grips.
"WAVE" feature works flawless. Blade to Handle ratio & handleing/Balance is as good as ANY Classic Emerson.
Another feature I like is the lack of additional grind on top edge. This leaves additional material for a stronger tip. I'm not completely sure if that's a problem for me. I've never broken a tip on ANY knife. But I can appreciate that this tip has more strength out to the tip which is a good thing for some people.
Blade is Secondary Bevel Chiesal Grind. Mine is 3 3/8" w/ extrrrrremly sharp serrations.
This knife is slightly smaller than Commander
in stature. Which is nice for concealability.
Personally, I'm going to retire my AFCK and use the SOCFK. The price is right and it is a awsome Tactical Folder. Hope you all enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine !
