SOFCK Double Grind

Just got my spearpoint SOFCK. I note that the blade is a double grind, quite a departure from the classic Emerson chisel grinds. Are the tantos double ground also. Other than my double ground Viper 3, this is the first grind like this that I have seen from Ernie. Does this signal a new direction? It is a super production piece with excellent fit, finish and tolerances.

I am glad that you like your new knife. The SOCFK will soon replace my trusty, dusty CQC-7B as my work knife.

The double grind is not particularly new to the line. The Mach-1's, Commanders, and CQC-7A (spearpoint) are all double V ground. Ernie feels the double V is a bit more utility oriented on the knives designed with utility in mind.
