True. I should have mentioned that I have a Flash I & II and a SEAL Pup as well. Both Flash knives came INSANELY sharp out of the box and have held up pretty well .I have a SOG Seal Pup and love it! My friend has a Seal Team and loves it as well. I don't see any problem with them.
Look into the Vulcan/Mini Vulcan. Wicked sharp and VG-10 steel .

Also the Visionary is made out of VG-10 as well.

This is why I started this thread! SOG is a great company, but I almost never hear their name come up!
A few years ago they were a real popular company.
Then they rested on their laurels.
It took them a long time to move off of the AUS8, and also they've only recently released some new designs that captured peoples' attention again.
....I see the SOG Pentagon Elite II on retail sites listed as having AUS8 steel; was the switch to VG-10 just recently ?My SOG Pentagon Elite II is probably my favorite folder. Beautiful spearpoint VG-10 blade, zero blade play, a very secure lock, and durable handle. IMO, they're a quality company. Here are some pics of my little friend...
