I've been trying to modify my SOG Vulcan for some time now. I first started off with giving it a wave cut. Then I didn't like the wave, so I cut that off, so now there is a nice thumb ramp that doesn't get in my way. Now that that part of my project is completed, I am trying to make it a single beveled blade. I've been grinding off some of the thick part to make it flush, at an angle of course, with the edge. The original shape was kind of similar to a ship, wide at the top, thin at the middle, then flared out at the edge. So, needless to say it's been giving my tools a good work out. I just thought I'd post that here, and if you guys have any pointers on grinding it or putting on a nice polished finish afterwards feel free to let me know. Back to the garage, J.
