Solingen Question (Fixed Blade)

I have a couple of different fix blades from Germany with the stamp "Solingen Rostfrei"
Is the Rostfrei the steel maker or heat treater?

As far as I know, Rostfrei is German for "Rust Free"...it means the knives are stainless.

"Rostfrei" is the german word for stainless.
knowtracks - you've got a stainless steel blade on your knife...

The "Solingen" I hope is self-explanatory??
