Some Changes Are Coming

When I get back from Tennessee I will be making some changes with my line. A lot of the models will no longer be part of my standard line. I keep increasing my line trying to find something that will be a good seller, but not much is happening. Any previous model will still be available, but if it`s not made from one of the stock sizes I use often, there will be a premium charge for them. The Hatchet, Bowie, and Combat / Survival have already been dropped from standard line.

I will be focusing more on the EDC size and mid size blades. Those can be sold at a reasonable price, and in my opinion, (which is not always the right one), will get more actual use. I also want to expand my folders to include different blade designs and scandi grind. So, expect models like the Lobo, Hudson Bay, and Camp Knife to be going away. I will also be making micarta my standard handle material, with the different woods being optional.

I`m also thinking about doing some "deluxe" versions of some of my models. I will also be posting refurbished older USA made hatchets for sale.

Hi Stomper -

Good stuff - I hope these changes help spark more sales for you.

I'll be interested to hear your ideas for deluxe versions.

Best regards -

Hope so too, I`m not sure what I`m doing wrong. I`ve got a lot of ideas for new designs, but I seem to be the only one who likes them. That`s one of the reasons I like doing customer designs so much.

You aren't doing anything wrong. It's a tough road to travel, stick with it and rewards will follow. You are the first maker I think of whenever I want a new knife.

Any chance of getting into the rehandling business? I've got a couple that I'd like to get done.

I'm anxious to see the refurbished hatchets and the upscale versions. I think its a smart move to focus on mid sized and edc blades. They sure seem to go faster on the exchange.

Good luck!

Brandon
