well my 560 has some blade play its not much and i have to push pretty hard to get it to play much at all but its there and more than i like, heck my blurs dont even have blade play...

i was wondering if i should send it in or wait for the lock to break in some? i've flipped it a few 100 times and the lock hasnt budged anymore yet, i can show a pic if need be

The last couple times you've mention that, people have said they'd send it in if it was theirs. It bothers you, so send it in :)

I'm liking the new steel lock bar inserts that some companies are using now. The steel to steel interface is more stable and less problem prone. And it is replaceable if it wears out.

I would try bending the lock bar over a little and see if that helps. My 0300 had the same problem now it is perfect. It will also make detent stronger.

Or just send it in......or use it until it gets worse.

yea, i just thought i'd get advice if it was going to wear in, might as well have them center my blade as well lol.

think i'll send it in in the next week or so along with a blur that needs a new blade and see what they can do, love the knife so much i dont want to part with it but it should only be a few days seems how i'm only 8 hours from them.

Are you talking about up and down play (with the bearings, there should not be any side to side). What you are experiencing is most likely not blade play. You are most likely pushing hard enough to flex the lockbar. Lockbar flex is not blade play, and the lockup is plenty strong. YOu can send it in if you feel it is necessary, but I have seen a few come through recently where the owners were mistaking lockbar flex for blade play, and there was nothing wrong with the knife.

i couldnt see any flex in the lock bar but you might be right as it takes a bit of force to get it to play much other wise its just super slight so it prolly has some but less then i thought

thanks jimmer =)

after watching the knife and playing with it it is indeed lock flex, when you put enough pressure on the blade the lock bar moves downward

so there is no blade play :D

Solid knife, solid company... If by chance things don't clear up, Kershaw's customer service will most likely square you away. Can't say enough good things about them.
