Nice shop.

I'll bite, what is under the big reddish cloth cover on the desk?

Mark,
It's just made out of plywood, I had some silver spray paint hanging around and just got a little crazy!

What are the buffer guards made of? is that aluminum or corian?

Roy very nice, you gave me a few ideas, the buffer guards especially, are they hooked to a vacuum?

Yes, I went to Sears Hardware and bought 2" plastic tubing and some screw couplers and they are attached at the bottoms of the back panels.

Wow, what a bandsaw! That is a real treasure, so is the South Bend.

Thanks for the update on the stitcher.

Thank you! I waited 10 years to get the powermatic bandsaw, it has a 20" cut, vari-speed 40-4000, I had one of those vert/hor bandsaw for $200.00 and I just gave it to a friend who I am helping to make knives. The lathe was a find, got it from a scrap yard, they bought it from American Optical- they used it to cut plastic lenses, it is in mint shape, just needs a bath.

Reg,
Thank you for the kind words, what you are looking at is 20 years of getting equipment and selling it to get better equipment and selling it to get better equipment. It's been a long haul, but thing are finally getting to where I'm happy. My work space is 24' X 24' but last October it was 12' x 24' with most of the equipment you see in that space. Talk about tight! And now that I have this space I want more. I guess there is no end to this chase!:D

Gosh Darnit !!! why am I such a slob ?!, My shop looks like a bomb hit it compared to yours. Very nice and clean and organized, it's inspiring to see your shop. Makes me want to clean mine up. Beautiful !, wish I had that lathe and bandsaw. Take care.....RDT

No end to that chase? Boy, does that say it all! :D You can NEVER have enough space for a workshop.

Nice shop Rene! You certainly have some goodies (he said jealously). Perfect folder making conditions! :)

Beautiful shop!
Is it part of an attached garage or is it a stand alone building?

Now for the important question. How do you like your stitcher? I usually only get negatives when I ask the community as a whole if the Tippmann is ok. How much use does it get? Would you do it again?
After years of hand stitching cable forms for the Army, I refuse to do a pile of sheaths by hand. Broad lace frontier style, maybe, but waxed twine or thread, never.
Thanks, and once again, a beautiful shop....Ken
