I know I'm old (at least my wife says so), and my eyes aint what they used to be. But there's something missing from this knife from feebay.

Where's the tang stamp! if it's there, I can't see it.

That's defective. Send it back to buck for a replacement.

:)

Is there absolutely nothing there, or is there any sign that a stamp might have been polished off?

It has the look of a Three-Dotter.

I may take a chance on it. I held a 2 dot up to the screen and the stamp was visible no matter what.

I copied and enlarged your photo and it looks like there's something on the tang but it's awfully faint. Could also be dirt or something too. Better lighting would really have made a difference.

Hard to tell if thats a speck of dirt or a faint stamp. I havent seen too many of the older ones missing the stamp.
Not the best picture in the world but sometimes thats when you get the best deals...maybe potential bidders will stay away because they dont know what they are bidding on?

ConsideringI'm the high bidder, that's what I'm hoping for.

You should never be the high bidder.......at least not until the time is right.

Never bid until the last five seconds.

You'll spend less money and get more stuff.

I should add that sometimes you may want to put a low bid on right away on a new auction with something good.

This keeps wise guys from enticing the seller into doing a "Buy it Now" for them......but, of course, you make that bid a very, very low one so as not to contribute to driving the price up.

Any other kind of bidding will almost invariably drive the final price UP.

...and NEVER NEVER point out an oddity on this forum until it's on the way to you in the mail.... ;o)

Well, yes.......some here have done themselves harm by letting a cat (more precisely, a knife) out of the bag.

Some have done it repeatedly.

Some have done it, but don't do it anymore.

I did not bid on this knife, by the way.

:)

Not my flavor but couldn't if I wanted too right now....I got myself PayPal limited for refusing to verify....Do you guys REALLY give them a bank account link or take their credit card? Has anyone actually read the user agreement relating to that? I'm saving money but going thru buying withdrawal. (pluse the CFO reigned me in a little last month after I bought a new shotgun..... ;o)

Give them a checking account number and then get yourself another checking account to actually use.

Then change all buying to your credit card when you buy.

I quit selling long ago, so if there are other problems in selling I would not know about it. Buying is working fine for me with this system. Buying with a credit card is a necessity.....never use any other form of payment.

Paypal can be a pain, that's for sure.

Words of wisdom!!!

I can't for the life of me figure out why people bid things up so early.

When I bid it was still like 15.00 and no matter what the winner seemed lime he was going to do whatever to get it. Well, he's got it.

Ah well......there's always more coming along.

When I don't get one that I wanted......I just figure it was probably a bad one so I'm better off.

:)
