sorta OT: knife shipping complications

USPS is what we use.

And I love it!!

With one exception, I've received everything in just two days after it's been sent!

I was astonished that someone in this thread reported that UPS informed them that their goal was to open and inspect EVERY item shipped by individuals "for the protection of the carriers".

Interesting that they had a large problem with theft of firearms...apparently including a shipment of Glocks sent to Arizona police or sheriffs.

Sounds even worse than letting airline baggage handlers know which checked baggage contains firearms worth ripping off...

Sounds like "for the benefit of the carriers"...

I think it suggests that those who have suggested that the real "Big Brother" that ordinary citizens need fear may not be the government, but "essential" private companies might have a valid point....at least in the US at this time.

Where's munk? This sounds like something that would give him the big itch....

munk evidently is not available at this time, but I can froth at the mouth in his place 'til he can take over ( if that will help? ).
