Source for S30V

Who actually has S30V in stock? Also can anyone give me info on heat treating it? Is it worth Cryo treating it? I am planning on sending out some material to a maker and that is why I am interested in the above info. The maker has not worked with S30V yet. Thanks in advance.

Crucible is the only supplier that I am aware of. I received some this week and haven't had an opportunity to work with the HT yet. Some information has been posted regarding HT, which should turn up with a search. Yes, I believe it will benefit from cryogenic treatment.

Confirmed on Tru-Grit. I just got off the phone from a belt order and when I asked what was new and exciting, they said that they would be handling the S30V.
 
That's kind of funny. When I called Tru-Grit a month or so ago to order some Norax belts they'd never heard of S30V. I told them they would. My guess is the booming sales of Norax belts made them look twice. Nice folks...

BTW, I think James Poplin (Pop) has some too.
 
i mentioned how happy your were were with the norax belts on s30v jerry and how it would be a steel they should carry. john, linda and their son scott are great people to do biz with.
 
John and Linda are wonderful people..........
HOWEVER........I have been trying to get them to carry CPM steel for many many years without results. :(
I did take Scott Devanna from Crucible over to meet them at the Vegas Classic, so maybe things will change.
