I was hoping someone can help me with a source for reproductions, historically accurate ones, for knives commonly used in the old West. I am guessing this could cover the time from 1865-1912.
Along with "Bowies", what was common? What might a cowboy have carried on his belt? Where might I find out more about makers interested in the period?
I will be grateful for any help, thanks.

Jim Siska had a very nice western repo bowie on the cover of BLADE some time ago. He had made it for re-enactments. Daniel Winkler is also someone to look at.

If you're not looking for a custom knife, or custom knife prices, try Dixie Gun Works. I think they even have a website now. They've got a little bit of everything from the late 1700's fur trader period right up until the end of the 19th century in guns, clothing and gear, including knives.

You're likely to find a cowboy packing anything from a Russel skinner to an english made bowie, or a large clasp knife.
