This is a standard WWII blade made by Sanu - 16.5 inches and near 1.5 pounds. But, there are several things about the rig which set it apart as a one of a kind. First is the handle and buttcap. I'm going to try to post a follow post with a pix of the buttcap.
Second thing that sets this apart is the karda and chakma. Karda is actually a mini khukuri and chakma is khukuri shaped.
Third thing is the scabbard. Pala found some excellent dark brown leather and the village sarki put it to good use here. This is the best scabbard & frog I've ever seen come out of Nepal, BirGorkha or any other shop or pasal.
A Special Ops vet sent me what is now the buttcap on this khukuri -- I sent the medallion to Nepal and it has come back. I'd love to see this khukuri go to a Special Ops vet or one of the Marines we have here. So, if you're a Special Ops vet or Marine take this rig for $160. (Active duty certainly works, too!) Anybody else it is $195.
If anybody thinks this is unfair let me know and I'll explain but I don't think this will be necessary.
