This is a standard WWII blade made by Sanu - 16.5 inches and near 1.5 pounds. But, there are several things about the rig which set it apart as a one of a kind. First is the handle and buttcap. I'm going to try to post a follow post with a pix of the buttcap.

Second thing that sets this apart is the karda and chakma. Karda is actually a mini khukuri and chakma is khukuri shaped.

Third thing is the scabbard. Pala found some excellent dark brown leather and the village sarki put it to good use here. This is the best scabbard & frog I've ever seen come out of Nepal, BirGorkha or any other shop or pasal.

A Special Ops vet sent me what is now the buttcap on this khukuri -- I sent the medallion to Nepal and it has come back. I'd love to see this khukuri go to a Special Ops vet or one of the Marines we have here. So, if you're a Special Ops vet or Marine take this rig for $160. (Active duty certainly works, too!) Anybody else it is $195.

If anybody thinks this is unfair let me know and I'll explain but I don't think this will be necessary.

NICE!!

Hope this goes to a vet/active duty guy who really deserves it:)

Nice khuk and nice idea Uncle Bill:)

I wish I was a vet of either, and not just to get the khuk.

dWell, I think I'd just about part with my left hangy-down for that thing, but the money just isn't avaiable right now. Maybe Semp would like it.

Hi Uncle Bill,

Here is a Marine Vet that wishs he had gotten to the computer sooner. I would love to own that. If Jim decides he does not want it. I will grab it up. OOOHHH SWEEET!!!
Rick

AA, you're second in line. Pappy & Jim may work a deal. If they don't Jim has said he would back off and let the knife go to a vet. He sounds like a nasty old caveman but he's got a heart as soft for vets as I do. And he doesn't remember WWII!!!!!!!!

But Yangdu is packing right now. It may go to a vet via Jim.

Stay tuned. I wish I had a dozen of these but I guess it wouldn't be so special if I did.

Arch & Semper,
This is for a MARINE VET! The BEST I KNOW! HONOR MAN AT PI(when they BUSTED YOUR a**)!HE AIN'T NO LEG EITHER!ONE OF THE FEW that spoke a certain foreign lang. Went to places he STILL doesn't talk about! You see guys,He's SPECIAL,"he's my little brother"!

Jim ,

You are a GOOD brother. The kind we all need. Your brother sounds special also! I am glad that it is going to a good man. He sounds like someone I would like and respect. Way to go!

A very beautiful, meaningful blade that went to the one it was supposed to.
I wonder why that doesn't surprise me?;) :)

If I hadn't been working today, I would've been online and maybe got a shot at that beautiful blade.

I guess I really need to do a better job at pickin' lottery numbers.
:(

Maybe next time, if there is a next time for a knife like that. :p
