Greg:
I handled a couple at the Blade Show, I'm 6'4", the knife didn't "fit" my hand, could be me or the way I was holding it. Other than that they looked OK.

I started collecting Benchmades then Micretech because of the quality.
When I picked up the SPEEDTECH I was hooked!
The knife is solid, no play at all in lockup.
The blade is stought enough to tackel any job
you can give it.
The handle molds into my hand and is the best feeling knife I own. I am 6' large hands.
I have always liked the tanto style blades until I felt and saw the "CILP" that SPEEDTECH offers. As you can tell I am sold on SPEEDTECH. And yes Jim O'Young follows up....

Thanks guys, Yekim thinks it is a good deal too, so I am pretty sure I am getting one.

Could someone give me a link to the website? I might be interested, not like I can afford more knives.

Just because I talk to myself doesn't mean I'm crazy. What's wrong with getting a second opinion?

I was on their website a few days ago and was shocked to learn that these knives weren`t autos! I`d only seen pictures, and with that button on the handle, I just assumed they were autos. (yeah, I know what happens when you ASSume!)

So what is their opening mechanism like? Is it smooth opening like a typical thumbstud open? Or loose like an Axis lock?

I really wish they`d make these auto!! (Someday, we`ll all able to flick our autos while we smoke Cuban cigars! G**d*** useless laws!)

Hmmm don't know why it doesn't work. Anyway look in the Non Specific forum for the topic Speedtech Synergy owners started Aug. 12
BTW they open very very smooth.

I now have one on order. I used their web site to put in my request. I got a reply one day later, with a detailed quote. I E-mailed them and got an instant response, plus a good answer to my question. I then picked up the phone and called the number listed in the E-Mail. I spoke to Melanie, she was able to answer all my questions and very friendly. I was very impressed with the service. I got upfront answers about costs, engraving and availability. I was treated very well and I ASKED several questions. You can't beat their service and in a few weeks I'll know about the knife. Tell Elizabeth to connect you to Melanie.

I picked up a Synergy at the BAKCA show last weekend. I guess the fact that I bought it signifies that it met a high level of acceptability in form, fit, and function. Look for a general review in a couple of days. Have to find the time to bash it around a little first.
