New hawk, L-6 head, 2 1/2" cutting edge, 18 3/4" hickory handle.

This is the first one that realy came out like I wanted it to.

Btw, anybody know what a Ft.Meigs hachet/hawk looks like? I've gotten a request for one, and I don't know what it looks like.

Will, did some looking for the Ft Meigs hatchet, did find some for sale but not a picture. You'd better have you customer give you a picture of what he wants. I got a feeling it could be just about anything.

Thanks Ray, there's a pic on colonial gun works, looks like it'd be a little more difficult than a standard hawk. Would probly have to make a drift esecialy for that.

Will, Don't waste you time making a drift, Robert Washburn has them for 20 bucks. Rade Hawkins has them for 26. I ordered a number of handles from Robert and two more drifts. There cast something, seem to hold up pretty well but do start mushrooming pretty quick....Ray

Will...That is one NICE-looking 'hawk ya got there. Just in-case you are looking to give it away as a gift, I'll gladly email my address to you.:).
