Attached is a pic of a forged spike hawk that I will be sending out later today. The head was forged from 1086M. The finish on the head has been antiqued to give it a dull gray patina. The handle features some beautiful striping. I added cordwraps above and below the head and also cord wrapped the handle as a final touch. I hope the new owner enjoys it.

Craig,

That is one beautiful tomahawk! Oh, by the way, is it mine (snicker, snicker)?

Thanks,
Scott Hyde :D

Very nice, clean work and the cord wrap is a cool addition. Craig, you should definitely make more of them :)

Nice 'hawk! I heard that 1086M was basicly 1084 with some vanadium thrown in. Is that true? Where can I get some and the heat treat spec.s to go with it?

Thanks,
Todd

Craig, It came in today's mail, and I am very impressed. Even now, I'm thinking of things that need to be chopped! Thank you very much.

If anyone is looking for a hawk, bowie or anything extremely sharp, please consider Craig. A great product for a very reasonable price.

Regards,
Scott :D
