Dear folks, I plan to purchase Spyderco-Bill Moran featherweight as a main utility knife for my fishing and hunting adventures. Any suggestions?

Hey Samo...

Good choice for an all around knife..
Blade is thin so it slices well and has lots of belly for skinning and such...

I really enjoy mine...

Thanks Eric, is the knife shipped with a cross-draw leather sheath or a thermo-plastic one?

Hi Samo....

I'm not really sure which sheath is standard for it...

mine came with a Blade-Tech Concealex sheath,, but a lot of the other ones I've seen are mostly leather..

If you can get it with the Concealex sheath thats great, it's a well made sheath..
If not I can supply you with Concealex for the Moran No problem...

Hope that helps..

Samo, I have both

Old mirror polish convex grind w/ leather cross draw and
New satin polish flat grind w/ concealex

In a perfect world, get the old model w/ concealex from Eric.

Both are good but if your worried about rust get the old blade. The newer is easier to sharpen though.

Thanks guys!

Really appreciate the help! Are the old ones still available on sale? Do you guys know how much will it cost for shipping to Malaysia?
