A quick webcheck on these worthy lockbacks got me quotes of $30 on the the dragonfly (frn), $41 on the delica, and $45 on the discontinued but soon to be reborn calypso jr. So what the hay. All appear to be lockbacks. Dragonfly frn loses bc/ its not ambidextrous. So, delica vs. calypso jr.. I'm inclined to wait for the new zdp supersteel. What do you think, delica vs. calypso jr, assuming both in zdp.

I would get a VG-10 Calypso, Jr. directly from Spyderco for $35 shipped if they have any left. It's a tremendous value. Even if ZDP 189 is the next big thing in blade steel, VG-10 is a super steel in its own right.

I will also recomend the Calypso Jr. in VG-10 to play with until the ZDP version comes out. With Spyderco selling them for $35 with free shipping it has to be one of the best values around.

I got a Calypso Jr. on Monday, the VG-10 version. It's my first knife with VG-10 and it's amazing IMO, holds a great edge and is very easy to sharpen on my crock sticks. Can't go wrong with any Spyderco knife you listed. :)

I've owned all three of the models listed. My CF PE Dragonfly is my favorite, but since you want full ambi I would go with the VG-10 Caly. Flat grind, finger coil, better FRN texturing & color, nicer clip, smaller hole (11mm is the perfect size IMO), what's not to love, especially at the blow out price @ the Spyderco site. You won't be disappointed in the VG-10, I'd just get a VG-10 to play with and then get the ZDP-189 in a couple months!

I'll go with the VG-10 Calypso. Just got one and already it's become my EDC. Sits in the pocket of whatever pants I happen to be wearing.
