Hi, all. I'm looking for a new EDC and am considering the Spyderco Police or the new Benchmade 804, both in plain blade. Does anyone have any feedback on these knives, good or bad? They are pretty much identical in size and price so I am wondering if there is anything about the knifes themselves that might set them apart and help me choose. Thanks, Shane.

i dont know about the benchmade model but i own an old serrated police model and its a fine large knife.

Dont have a benchmade, have a police. It fits well in the hand, and clipped on the pocket. Also spyderco just upgraded the blade steel to VG-10

Personally, I am a Spyderco fan. I do not have any experience with the Benchmade that you are asking about, but I have owned a Police for about eight years. It has been an excellent knife. Holds an edge. came really sharp and has never given me a single problem. It, my Buck 110 and a few pocket knives are the only folders I now own.

i have the police one of the older ones. its a good knife but seems the endura ends up in my pocket the most
