I had picked up a black handled plain edge Salt, but sold that so I could get a serrated edge yellow handled Pacific Salt. Now, I'm looking at getting a yellow handled plain edge Salt, and an Atlantic Salt. Is there no end to this madness? The thing is, all three will be used for fishing... in addition to a couple Rapala filet knives, a couple Mora knives, and a Benchmade River Rescue.

Tell me its okay to have a Salt, Pac Salt and Atlantic Salt ;).

As of now, I have a Spyderco Native, Native III, Military black blade, and the Pac Salt. Anybody used any of these for fishing, including the Pac Salt? I've used it for some small tasks, no problems, still has a razor sharp edge.

it's very OK to have them all, and soon you'll have to buy one more!

the C106 Tasman Salt, salted harpy... :)

You are really missing out not having a black handled PE Pacific.

The Salts are great. They really "spice up" my collection. They are an "essential element" in my collection. Somebody must be better at salt puns than this...

Joking aside, I very much appreciate mine, and it is a black handled PE Pacific.

I wanted the yellow handled Salts because they would be easier to spot on a boat when I needed them fast, but I'm going to have the Salt clipped to my pocket, and the Pac Salt in a belt sheath, so I'm hopefully not going to have to search for them too often on my boat.

Nothing wrong with a little more salt! You won't be sorry for getting a PE Atlantic salt, it's a very cool knife. Yellow handles all the way around!

The Salt series is awesome!

My wife has been carrying her black Salt I for about 3 months and I've been carrying my yellow plain-edge Atlantic Salt for about two months.

I agree 100%.

Good luck,
Allen.

Atlantic Salt is on my short list, along with the drop point D'Allara and the UK Penknife.

I carry the upgraded Salt 1 I bought when they first came out. I converted it and rebuilt the body of it and made it so I can pop a serrated or plain edge in as I want. I prefer the plain edge also though. I should say I carry it quite a bit. It is one of like four that are in my EDC routine that sees a lot of pocket time. One of the things I like about it best is the fact that just a couple of strops on the back of a cardboard legal pad brings it right back up to the tip top hair popping sharpness it had when I got it.

I count my Salt 1 and my Catcherman as two of the best purchases in knives for 05 for me. With the recent Native purchase at Wally world I now have three of my top five being Spyderco purchases for all of 05. Not bad Spyderco. Keep that up and I won't have to look too far for more knives at all. 06 should be promising with the new line up you guys have coming out.

05 top purchases that made me the happiest looks like

1) Salt 1
2) Catcherman > by Spyderco
3) Native
4) 420 Resistor by BM
5) 881 Mini by Buck

Thanks. I like it too. Reminds me of an old sailors knife with the lignum vitae wood handles.

You should pick up one of these:
