Sal - More tedious questions. This is really follow up to some earlier stuff I had asked related to Spyderco blade steel. Is GIN-1 (G-2) comparable to 440B? It appears to have about the same C content and a bit less Cr. Also, Spyderco uses some AUS 8. Is that comparable to 440B as well? How hard (RC) are the AUS 8 and GIN-1 steels in Spyderco? I understand that you're going to be offering more T440V in future knives. What are the specific advantages that steel provides and what sort of cost increase does that material bring with it over say GIN-1 ATS - 34? I hear a lot of people screaming for better steel but it won't come for nothing. We forum types couldn't care less about price if we really want something, but I image the cost factor plays a part in "the market" in general. Thanks.
