What is the going price for a NIB large Tim Wegner C48? How difficult are they to find?

I see them on ebay regularly. They usually run between 75-100 bucks,NIB. The Wegner Jr. usually runs a little higher in price. There is a C-48 on ebay right now with a high bid of 44 bucks with 2 days left to bid.

I picked up one of the Wegner Jr's a couple of years ago and it has become one of my favorite knives. Feels great in the hand, and the ATS-34 blade really holds an edge.

I always wished I had they were great little knives.

Apart from the Almite Cricket and the Starmate, Wegner is my favorite!

blade tech makes the wegner now, actually i think it looks as good or better than the spydie version(nothing against the spyderco version though), esp w/the CF handles, IIRC they run $150 or so new, same thing except a oval rather than round hole, and IIRC the steel is S30V, and the available CF handles. i have seen a couple of these for sale in the for sale forum, IIRC they were around $100 or so. they look nice but have never actually handled one, pics only, but blade tech is usually pretty good.

Looks like Spyderco are looking to re-introduce the Ocelot (evolution of the Wegner). PICS

Since obtaining the BladeTech version, I' ve retired my Spyderco model. The Spydie model had a solid almost full length rear spacer and made the folder quite on the heavy side. It' s handles were drilled for right handed tip up carry only. And the single finger groove was a bit large for one finger to rest properly or it was too small for 2 fingers to choke up against! The Pro Hunter model from BladeTech is a featherweight in comparison, has 4 position pocket clip carry capability, and a large guard for the finger to rest up against rather than a large finger groove to control YOUR hand. The partially flat ground S30 V steel on the ProHunter was surprisingly easy to sharpen and holds a very good edge compared to common stainless steels such as ATS34 and 154CM. G- 10 or CF scales available. Both Spydie and BladeTech folders however, are 2 of the very few productions that I' ve ever used that really feels and fits right into the hands.

Well there is the new Wegner about to come out: The Ocelot (formerly known as Trakkr). With paws on the handle and lock back. Should be sweet.
