For me, there are a couple I wish I'd kept.

Full-sized PE Calypso in micarta.
PE Rookie in G-10

I've never actually sold any, just given them to friends that I knew would use them. Of the ones I gave away, I wish I had these back:

Police SE
Calypso lightweight PE
Stainless Rookie PE

I really wish I had the Police back, just because that was my first Spyderco. Maybe I'll just have to buy a new one..

I too sold a Calypso PE in a moment of weakness. I was at the Blade show and sold it for funds for another knife that I don't have anymore. :(

I also had one of the Bob T's with the aluminum handles. Loved the blade shape on that one.

Doesn't hurt as bad as the Rick Dunkerly Woodcraft style knife I sold. It was the first one like that he made and he borrowed it back later at the show so he could trace it for a pattern. I could cry when I think of that one.

And then there was the....

Oh well, live and learn.

My old Dragonfly. I prefer the newer flat grind, but one of my very first Spyderco knives (also one of my first good knives ever) was a Dragonfly with the short bevel and most of the blade unground. They stopped making them like that even before I got rid of it. But I traded it in for some reason. That was kind of dumb.

How about "Spydercos you wish you hadn't destroyed"?

I had a wonderful, excellent condition Mouse whose handle I tried to drill a hole through so that it would provide better indexing, would look "cool" and would give me something to drill through.

Being brilliant and a great planner, I actually drilled through the damn lockbar. So the knife is useless.

Woo hoo!

I'm missing my 440V PE Native. I had a CE and gave it to a guy for doing a good deed, replaced it soon after with the PE, did not cary it for a few months then decided to sell it.

The Native is a great, versatile design. Fits my hands very well, too.

I still have my 440v Native, but I also have two s30v Natives which I like using better because of the lock dent. I like the 3D native's handle, but it doesn't open as easy for some reason.

Anyway, my Natives will always be mine, despite their oddly fit parts. The knife is just too good of a design to be without.

A PE SS Rookie.
Now the one I wish I had bought when I had the chance,Anniversary Delica.

I've been through more Spydercos than I can count but two I wish I still had are the Paramilitary and Viele II. Fortunately, these two are still in production and I'll probably pick these two up again.

What's with everyone getting rid of their Rookies? Just didn't get used or something? I wish they still made them so I could buy 2 of each variation. What about a blue FRN Rookie, would that be cool or what?

I'll tell you which ones aren't leaving my collection. I'm keeping my Native III, Jester, Ladybug, Delica and Endura. All have been used to some degree. I've sold and traded other Spydies, and I really do not miss my original Native.

Wow. I think I've let too many go to write about. It will just depress me. What knife knut hasn't let something go that they later wish they'd kept? That old question: "have you ever done something and then asked yourself why'd you do that?" comes to mind when I read this post topic. Surely we've all been down that road.

I guess the Spyderco I regret letting go the most is a little "Q" that had the HK logo on the blade. I've never seen another one since. I remember after giving that little jewel away thinking I'll get another one at the next gun show. Never happened. I think I paid just over 20 bucks for that knife. Probably couldn't replace it for four or five times that now if I could even find one.

I gave a Q to my little brother. I don't regret giving it to him, I just wish I had another...same with a Spydercard. I've given two of those away...
