:( I got in right away at SY when they released the 2nd run of INFI SS4s. I just got my e-mail from Patti, she says I didn't get one in INFI. I can't figure as I got in right away, what can you do :barf:

Other than posting in the Scrap Yard Forum where the right people will see the post I have no idea:confused: I ordered that night too but no word yet.

I was one of the 1st in as well... 8:51pm EST

No word here yet either.

I just got the e-mail from Patti. I added to cart around the same time as you Foo, but didn't actually complete checkout til 904pm, that is my invoice time, I thought once you added to cart that was your order time, maybe not?

Hey youv'e not missed anything.....the steel is brittle....the handle uncomfy....weights all wrong....won't cut butter....etc....etc!!!

I know you can tell a lie when you hear it but you can't say I didn't try !!!

If it makes you feel any better it should still be a great knife when done in SR 77 !!!!

Order Date: Thu, Jan 4, 2007 18:55:18

That was in my email confirm from them.

I can see them using that time since just having one in a cart doesn't mean you have a sale.

SKUNK! I wonder if that may be a solution for you with the nuts putting 15 knives in their carts.

It depends on the software I suppose. Some have accurate, realtime inventory accounting; some not.

Good luck.

What was your invoice number? That may be what they are going by. If you didn't check out until 9:04, it may not have issued an invoice until then.

Apparently, I got butkus. I'm not sure why, I went straight to checkout, but got DENIED. All before ... ( SOMEONE over at the Yard needs to sync their 'puter's clock! LOL) 6:48pm m(?)st according to the order, I think it was about 8-9 min later than that. Funny... STILL before 9:00pm EST, as advertised! Ouch.. I feel so... :grumpy: :grumpy:  DENIED!!!! LOL :D Oh well, guess I'll just keep my ones with the abnormal dog logo, and shut up now. Can't GET 'em ALL!!!
Now... Off to the PO. :)

I totally agree. These really weren't fooling with. ;)

I got a few and I hope that if I plant them in the yard they will grow into a MOASH.

Otherwise I agree with ya'll, can't see why anyone would want one.

A sound idea. You think, with a little Miracle Grow and some cow manure, I could coax them into a SHBM?

My invoice shows... "Order Date: Thu, Jan 4, 2007 18:50:19"

within seconds of the inventory showing up, I added to my cart and checked out... I then went back and played a little... added 10,000 to my cart at one point... had one of those "thing that make you go hmmm" moments. I thought the system was screwed up... and wondered if there was gonna be trouble.

Guess thats why they feed us in a trough... doggie bowls just can't handle a good hog trample. :D :D :D

Did you see what the guy does to his lemon tree in the movie "The Fastest Indian". I think that might work.

The invoice number came up with the invoice date time, last I knew "add to cart" meant out of inventory and not available for sale until thrown back, that's the way it's done everywhere else, I realize they had problems with the system and I understand that, I've just never heard of a system where once added to cart, the item is not held til checked out.

Tony G's pretty quick.
I got in fast, but didn't check out until..

My invoice# was 1528

Then i went back and put another in cart.. contemplating a 2nd order for any compadres that might be worthy of such a gift.. then my cart got dumped.

Given their problems, I don't think we can second guess how the knives got taken out of inventory. I don't think they did. Now they are going back and trying to allocate them fairly.

They haven't said what criteria they are using, but it seems like invoice date/time or invoice number make sense. They may just be going down the invoice numbers in order and allocating SS4s until they are all gone. Or similarly going by time stamp and allocating until they are all gone.

I was just curious about your invoice number because I haven't heard anything one way or another yet. My number was 1542.

Anyone who has heard care to post their invoice numbers so that we can maybe figure this out?

Seems like the Company Store may have been that way at one time. Can anyone confirm? When I first started buying, I do recall recommendations that you check out as fast as you could. Of course, the software has been updated/overhauled since then.
